The Spring Session of the Michigan City Neighborhood Leadership Academy wrapped up with the presentation of projects and graduation ceremony.
Eight groups presented their projects that centered on how they can make an impact in their own neighborhoods.
Projects ranged from gardening/recycling education and block parties to neighborhood associations youth basketball! A team is already putting a giveback night in motion at Holly’s Restaurant!
Mayor Angie encouraged graduates to join boards and commissions to make a difference and congratulated the participants on their time commitment to the program.
The academy is a transformative program designed to empower local residents to become active leaders within their communities. This unique initiative offers participants the opportunity to develop essential leadership skills, engage with local government processes, and contribute meaningfully to neighborhood development.
