Manufacturing companies can receive details on how to apply for Manufacturing Readiness Grants at an information session from 1 to 2 pm CT Friday May 13.
Participants can attend in-person at the Economic Development Corporation Michigan City, 2 Cadence Park Plaza, or virtually by registering here.
The grants are aimed at assisting manufacturers that are planning to make innovative capital investments in smart manufacturing and leveraging technologies, including advanced robotics, cobots and beyond. The grants are provided by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and administered by Conexus Indiana.
Since the program launched in mid-2020, it has awarded nearly $20 million in matching grants to Hoosier companies.
The information session will focus on: program details, eligibility criteria, grant funding specifics and application timeline. Speakers will be Conexus Indiana Vice President of Innovation and Digital Transformation Mitch Landess and Portage-based Konrady Plastics CEO Leah Konrady, a recipient of an MRG.
