Region businesses affected by Covid have opportunities to apply for financial assistance.
One program, Recover NWI, is being managed by the Northwestern Indiana Planning Commission and the Northwest Indiana Economic Development District. The revolving loan fund is for eligible businessess in need of working capital, marketing or staffing assistance, or building or land purchase. The goal is to help region businesses stay open, maintain employment and remain financially sustainable. Average loans are expected to by $50,000.

Indiana’s Restart Grant program has expanded and is aimed at propeling the state’s economic recovery. Eligible businesses can apply for reimbursement of qualified expenses up to $10,000 a month, totaling up to $50,000. Deadline for application is now Dec. 31, 2021.
