CHICAGO, IL, DECEMBER 7, 2015: The Mid-America Economic Development Council presented its annual Economic Development awards at the 2015 Mid-America Competitiveness Conference & Site Selector Forum, held on December 6-8 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago.
The Economic Development Corporation Michigan City submitted their Community Profile brochure, an (8) eight page full color brochure created to showcase and market Michigan City, Indiana to potential new businesses, entrepreneurs and site selectors. The community profile showcases Michigan City, Indiana and touches on all the positive attributes including quality of life, business environment, business support, business retention & expansion, education, transportation and Michigan City’s prime location to major markets.
The Mid-America Economic Development Council is a multi-state association dedicated to being the leading resource for education, making connections, and sharing best practices for economic development professionals.
The Community Profile brochure, submitted by the Economic Development Corporation Michigan City received recognition for its outstanding effort in development of marketing material, by receiving 2nd place in the Marketing Program Small Division.
When asked about the recognition the EDCMC received, Executive Director Clarence Hulse, offered “It’s our job at the EDCMC to create awareness on what Michigan City, Indiana has to offer; a place where you CAN mix business and pleasure – Create, Play, Repeat. The recognition of the Community Profile is proof of the effort not only by the EDCMC, but also the city as whole; that we are letting people know just how great Michigan City, Indiana truly is.”
